Car Rentals

Cars, including four-wheel drive, are available for rental to take you almost anywhere on the island. A valid driver’s license and a Dominican Driver’s Permit, are required. A Dominican Driver’s Permit can be obtained through rental agencies and police stations. Remember to drive on the left-hand side of the road. Buses

For anyone on a budget, the bus system is excellent and provides access to pretty much anywhere in Dominica although connections to another bus may be required. Buses run regularly Monday – Friday 6 am to 6 pm Saturday 6 am to 2 pm

Ferry Service

L’Express Des Iles is a high-speed catamaran service operating between the islands of Guadeloupe (Pointe-a-Pitre) to the north of Dominica, to Martinique (Fort-de-France) and on to Dominica in the south. The ferry departs and arrives at the Roseau Bay Front, a short walk from the heart of the capital.
